Tarek and the ice-canos at Audubon Center’s lakeshore. These are sealed over now, but they’re called ice-canos because they form cones and water shoots out the middle. Tarek and I had a little time to kill before picking up Maia, so we hiked down the hill to see the lake. (That’s why he doesn’t seem dressed for the occasion).

Needing consolation, they both had just run crying to their room, with Maia blubbering, “Let’s go get our bears.” Those bears really know how to make a kid feel better.
