Abstractions – Sydney Shimko

Why do I have to play and play and play?

It’s a rare day that we go to the YMCA in the afternoon, but we just got home. In the car Maia realized this and said in her most disgruntled voice …

M: I played at school and then I had to go to the Y and play.

S: What is wrong with that?

M: I don’t like to play and play and play and play …

S: That sounds great to me, what would you rather do?

M: I like to play and eat and play and eat and play and eat.

I guess she forgot about the 2 meals and 2 snacks she’s had today. All that horrible playing must have damaged her memory.
